You’ve heard about the debut of our Chilled Poke Bowls in our brand new Bowls category and now it’s time to introduce their warmer counterpart – the revamped Hot Bowls. True to our mission of offering you a customizable variety of proteins and vegetables, we’ve taken your valued feedback to improve our existing braise recipes which have relaunched on the menu as Hot Bowls.

We are offering our ever-popular Braised Beef and Mushrooms, Moroccan Chicken Braise, and Curry Tofu and Vegetable Braise, served with your choice of organic brown, white rice, or mashed potatoes. Like you’ve come to expect from Urban Plates, our chefs have put a tremendous amount of care into ensuring these revamped recipes are unique, delicious, and better than ever.

Braised Beef and Mushrooms

We often have requests for a gluten free version of our Braised Beef and Mushrooms. So, we developed a new version that has the same great melt in your mouth beef, rich red wine flavor and earthy mushrooms without the use of flour. I think this new recipe eats a little lighter and still satisfies a craving for this classic dish my grandmother used to make.

Curry Tofu and Vegetable Braise

Our Curry Tofu and Vegetable Braise has also been a guest favorite for many years, but we often received requests for a bit more curry flavor. We found an excellent green vegan curry with bolder flavor and more spice. This curry balances perfectly with the creamy coconut milk and organic firm tofu. We slowly simmer the curry coconut sauce with the tofu and then add a beautiful mix of fresh zucchini, organic carrot, red bell pepper, onion, ginger, lime, daikon and organic apple at the end of the cooking process to maintain the texture, flavor and health benefits of all the fresh produce.

Moroccan Chicken Braise

The Moroccan Chicken Braise was originally planned as a seasonal menu item, but when we talked about switching it we realized it had become a staple for many of you. So, we decided to keep it as a core menu item. It is my personal favorite, because it has flavorful free-range chicken that falls apart in your mouth. It’s served with a beautiful house made bone broth as the base, that has warming Moroccan spices like cinnamon, paprika and turmeric, and immunity boosting kabocha squash with a finishing of raw cilantro.

All of our bowls make a balanced, satisfying and clean meal that you can customize to your needs and liking. These new Hot and Chilled Bowls are available at all Urban Plates locations. We hope you enjoy them and look forward to your feedback!
